After iPod has released many versions of it for the consumers to buy and be cool with it. Now iPod comes back again with iPod Touch with the capacity of 32MB. Besides from the big capacity, iPod Touch comes together with the variety of new software such as search and illustrate graphic map or the map from the satellite, weather forecasting, memory book, update news and entertainment and a lot more. Due to the development of the software in iPod Touch, it becomes the hottest new standard platform recently.

The term iPod today has become synonymous with almost any music lover world wide and the appearance of iPods has been a boon to patrons of music as these are portable music players designed by Apple and were introduced for the first time in 2001. Since then, there have been various models of the iPods which have been released and each having separate functions of their own, but it can be concluded without a trace of doubt that these iPods have been super successful in attracting the consumers. The various iPod models used at present include the iPod classic, the iPod nano which enabled video viewing, the iPod touch which is somewhat similar to iPhones, the iPod shuffle which does not have a screen and the iPod photo. These are all digital music players having adequate storage capacity which varies according to each model. The iPod classic models contain and save these storage data in an internal hard drive while the other models implement the usage of flash memory. Recent statistics suggest that the iPod has sold about 110 million units world wide giving it the numero uno position as the most sold digital music player in history.
Unlike earlier when iPods worked only with Macs, nowadays, they can function even in Windows versions and they can play various audio file formats like WAP, AIFF, MP3, Audible audiobook etc. The iPod nano can play Quick Time video formats and MPEG 4 files with suitable limitations while the iPod photo allows the viewing of PNG, JPEG, TIFF, GIF files. It is possible to transfer the files to the storage compartment of the iPods. The Fire Wire and USB wall chargers accompany the iPods which are used to charge the iPods without the computer. All iPods are necessarily supplied with earphones apart from other accessories.
One disadvantage of the iPods has been their low battery life along with weaker equalizer settings and inferior bass quality.

Audiosurf a Musical Masterpiece
Audiosurf is an easy but cool looking game. This game combines 2 things most of us likes music and gaming. Before you start the game you have to choose a song from your MP3 collection or a song which is already in the game. The game will then make a customized course based on the song. Audiosurf is technically impressive and it takes only a few seconds to create a course based on the song you want.
Audiosurf is a very easy racing game where you follow a course and you have to avoid blockings in your way. The game features many different game modes and the “easy” gameplay can be very hard at some times. The game mixes up some tetris modules and you have to avoid and catch different blocks in different colors while you are driving. The courses are nicely built after the music and if you play a course made for Death metal it will be a lot harder then a song for Titanic. You are also able to play online versus your friends etc. This system is very cool because you will be to find a list with all songs played online and you can see the record for each song so here you can hold the world record on your favorite songs if you are good enough. The game will be out this month and I think it will be a great arcade hit and a party game.

Sony BMG will finally delete the DRM and let the music flow free on the internet. They are the last of the dinosaurian companies that have to late realize that protecting the music this way is not going to work.
First out to release the music with no DRM is Justin Timberlake’s trough Amazon.
We can always hope that the big movie companies will follow the music companies and stop the protecting that does not work anywhere. Look how far it took Apple with iPhone 24 hour and the iphone was cracked.
The free sharing is here to stay and there is nothing the companies can do to stop it. They can just follow behind or be in the lead.

GarageBand a software from Apple
A very significant constituent of Apple’s iLife software which is included with all Mac OS X operating systems is the GarageBand which is a software tool used for podcasts and for creating music. In fact, it can be regarded as a Digital Audio Workstation which enables the recording of various audio tracks and at the same time they are provided with distinct audio filters which help it to improve the quality of the recording, especially in case of instruments like guitars. For playing live music and also for creating songs, GarageBand can employ several other virtual software techniques using synthesized instruments with the help of a MIDI keyboard which is attached to the computer.
The same function can also be performed by using an on-screen virtual keyboard as well. In fact for its enhancement Apple itself has introduced certain tool kits called GarageBand Jam Packs which contain various instrumental pieces and these packs can be updated from time to time and can be updated at the cost of about US$ 100.
GarageBand was launched in 2004 and the second edition which came out in 2005 contained Musical Notation forms and music compositions could be edited by using these notation forms. The 2006 version known as GarageBand 3 coordinated with iChat and also provided a podcast studio which aided in the using of more than two hundred jingles and tunes and musical effects. Needless to say that the GarageBand may not be the appropriate tool for established musicians, but for amateurs it is no less than a boon.
The latest updated version of GarageBand was introduced recently as part of the iLife ’08 version introduced with the Apple Mac OS X operating systems. It includes several additional features like mechanization of instruments and rhythms or tempos and also allows the capacity to record certain portions of a song separately as ‘chorus lines’ or ‘bridge’. A virtual jam session is also at store for users of ‘Magic GarageBand’.

What is Apple TV?
From the very name it is apparent that Apple TV refers to yet another innovation introduced by technological giant Apple and it is a digital media receiver which allows the screening of any kind of digital content from a Windows computer supporting iTunes or a Mac OS X operating system into a high-definition windscreen television.
Apple TV also acts as a storage device allowing the storing of digital contents either by streaming it across networks or by storing it simply in an internal hard drive. As is evident, the final aim of the device is to attach itself to a television for the projection of digital content. For that purpose it requires component video connections and High Definition Multimedia Interface or HDMI with the help of cables. The analog and digital optical audio ports enable audio facilities. While a USB port is supplied with the Apple TV, it is usually preserved for other purposes and it attains connection with the personal computers via Ethernet or through defined wireless protocols. A significant associate supplied with Apple TV is the Apple remote though it is stated that Apple TV can function via other remote controls.
Apple TV can also stream contents from iTunes online store libraries with the help of the peer-to-peer digital media receiver and it also allows the streaming of 720p High-Definition video content. The main features of the Apple TV include TV shows, Movies, Music, Podcast, YouTube and Photos. For the functioning of these components, certain guidelines have to be followed. For the viewing if Movies MPEG-4 video codes and H-264 video codec are required for different resolutions while WAV, AIFF and Apple Lossless audio codecs are necessary for the appropriate functioning of the audio controls. JPEG, PNG, TIFF and BMP formatted files are supported for the viewing of photos or images on Apple TV.
Apple TV is often critiqued for its inability to include more features and inability to function in older television models.
