Frontlines Fuel of War First Impression

Frontlines Fuel of War First Impression

Trauma Studios from the Battlefield 1942 mod Desert Combat is back with a brand new game. Frontlines: Fuel of War is a first person shooter (FPS) set to year 2024 and we are on the edge of a third world war. The reason for this war is because there is not much more gasoline sources left and I guess USA were never to happy about those Chinese electric cars. So here it is USA and EU VS the red union China and Russia.

You start out as an American soldier near the Russian border. The solders are tough and everyone likes to kill so in this game you must show no mercy. Each single player map is spited into sub missions. So you got you main mission and many different sub missions you can do on your way. The battles in the game a really intense and there are so many things going on at the same time I am almost surprised that there is no frame drops here. Frontlines: Fuel of War is not a very realistic game and it doesn’t matter so much if you get hits a few times. If you for example pick up a grenade launcher and shoot you will hit exactly where you aim so it is really arcade style here. There is also tons of different weapons to choose from and robots which you can control with a remote. The graphic is average but I think the game would be great when it firsts comes out.

Conflict: Denied Ops for Xbox 360

Conflict: Denied Ops (Xbox 360)

Conflict: Denied Ops are a coming FPS to Xbox 360. The game can remind us a little bit about Call of Duty 4 but it won’t come close to it though. The main hook in Denied Ops seems to be character switching; each level employs a two-man squad, with a sniper and a heavy gunner whom you can switch between on the fly as the situation warrants. If you go in small places it is best to be a gunner but a open wide spaces you should really go for the sniper. You can also upgrade you weapons with different parts or simply get new weapons.

The squad commander role is not as easy as you think you will probably have problems getting the characters to do what you want. The game will probably be out this month and I really hope they manage to fix some bugs first. It can be very hard to aim because the buttons are so sensitive even if you just press them a little bit you will turn around 360 degree’s. The game got some promising features also like a good story and great graphics overall. I will be very excited to see how this game will do when it hits the open market.

Audiosurf a Musical Masterpiece

Audiosurf a Musical Masterpiece

Audiosurf is an easy but cool looking game. This game combines 2 things most of us likes music and gaming. Before you start the game you have to choose a song from your MP3 collection or a song which is already in the game. The game will then make a customized course based on the song. Audiosurf is technically impressive and it takes only a few seconds to create a course based on the song you want.

Audiosurf is a very easy racing game where you follow a course and you have to avoid blockings in your way. The game features many different game modes and the “easy” gameplay can be very hard at some times. The game mixes up some tetris modules and you have to avoid and catch different blocks in different colors while you are driving. The courses are nicely built after the music and if you play a course made for Death metal it will be a lot harder then a song for Titanic. You are also able to play online versus your friends etc. This system is very cool because you will be to find a list with all songs played online and you can see the record for each song so here you can hold the world record on your favorite songs if you are good enough. The game will be out this month and I think it will be a great arcade hit and a party game.

Alone in the Dark 4 Delayed PS3

Alone in the Dark 4 Delayed (PS3)

Alone in the Dark 4 was actually going to be released this month but has now been scheduled for March which is quite understandable since they had many things to improve before they released the final product. Alone in the Dark is a third person horror shooter but you can also play in first person. The first person aiming is however awful and you wont be able to hit many creatures like that. The physics of the game are quite bad so they have some things to fix before they start to sell this game.

Like all the other Alone in the Dark games this one also features many puzzle missions. But the puzzles have improved greatly and are more realistic then ever. Before the puzzles were like “find the storm key to open the storm door” now they are more like find an iron bat to break down the door”. Everything is in a very realistic environment. The game also features cool attack combos like spraying some monsters behind a fence full of gasoline and throw a match and watch them burn to death. Lets just hope they will fix some of the physic bugs and the first person aiming before we gets it in the stores in May.
