It cannot be denied how Apple’s iPhones have hit the world by storm. Regardless of its relatively expensive price, people actually make it a point to have an iPhone simply because it’s hip, sleek and somehow an identifier of one’s social status. Speaking of being hip and sleek, ringtones are one of the major ways to express how hip or what kind of style one has. However, with all the music genres and songs that belong to each one, it’s a bit impossible that people are provided with the ringtones that they specifically like hence most people succumb to novelty or just make do with the generic ones. Where’s the freedom of expression there? None! There is a solution for this though, and that is to make your own ringtone silly hat! Brace yourselves as this article will tell you how.

1. First things first, prepare your iPhone and your iTunes.

2. Choose the song you want to make a ringtone of. Right click and choose “Get info”.

3. You will see “Options” on the top. Click on “Stop time” and choose how long you want your ringtone to be. Be reminded that ringtones usually last for 30 seconds.

4. On the “Advanced” option from the menu, choose “Create AAC version”.

5. After that there will be another version of the song which is your ringtone. Choose the original version and go on “Get info” and “Stop time” and undo the stop time
portion so that the song will go beyond your chosen stop time for your ringtone the next time you wish to play the original song from your iTunes.

6. Change the file extension to .m4a to .m4r. This one can simply be overtyped. If done right, the song will be found on the ringtones category.

7. Sync the ringtone to your iPhone.
