A 19 year old student that thought he not got enough money from his parents to play more video games tried to rob a taxi driver.

The 19 years old that is way over his age to stay in school sits all day and play video games. He thought he would do a quick robbery like in Grand Theft Auto and then play some more. Unfortunate for him the taxi driver fought back and the 19 years old killed him with some knifes he brought from home. He then took the car and even he never drove in his life he tried to do as the video game. The police found him stuck behind the wheel and the rest is history.

The Thai government answer was off course swift and totally of target and they blamed the video game instead of the big problems that they have in the Thai society right now.

Thailand has also a new cyber law that demands every company to record and ID all internet users on the company computer and that includes hotels and internet cafes. So next time they offer free WIFI in the hotel think about that they save your information for 3 month.

The cores of this game are the third-person shooter and driving game. I have to say that driving game is my favorite but I feel not fun if I continue playing it for an hour because it makes me feel bored instead. So Grand Theft Auto IV is the perfect game for me because it combines the shooting game and driving game together.

In the game, the players will be able to run, walk, jump, climb or swim and also the players will be able to steal and drive a variety of cars such as helicopters, boat, motorbikes and more. It sounds fun, isn’t it? More update news in this Grand Theft Auto IV that the main character, Niko, can no longer steal the car by just only approaching to the car and open it but also in this version, the players have to do glass breaking and hotwiring the car as well.

PS3 development, Insomniac has made some good games the last years like Ratchet & Clank and Resistance 1. Now Resistance 2 is up for turn and I took a closer look at the game to find out what we can expect. The story in Resistance 2 starts right where it ended in Resistance 1 so if you haven’t played the first game I really recommend that you should do that first. The story takes place in the 1950s in America while USA was still in depression.

The single player campaign is already completed but they still have to polish some stuff here and there. Large portions of the co-op campaign are also confirmed to be running so the game should be available later this year. Insomniac also includes bosses in this amazing FPS. Huge robotic giants on 150 feet are some examples for bosses in this game. They will add plenty of bosses throughout the game though. Vehicles will also be available there will be boats, land vehicles and ever air planes a huge selection of vehicles here with other words. The AI has also been greatly improved and tons of new monsters and different enemies have been added to this game compared with the previous version. I am really looking forwards for more updates on this game and I think it will be one of the best PS3 games in 2008.

Pirates of the Burning Sea are a new MMORPG for PC. Unlike most other MMO’s this game is very realistic and it takes place in a realistic world and a realistic environment. You play the role as a Pirate, Spanish, English or French soldier back in the 1700’s and you will join with other members to build up a colony and destroy others. The games is in third person perspective and you will be doing quests, level up and get better gear and equipment pretty much like other MMO’s. In Pirates of the Burning Sea you got boats though. This is a great feature and it really brings life into the game and opens up a new combat system never seen before in any other MMO ship VS ship and crew VS crew. There are also different classes to choose from and different ship types to command so be careful with your choices.

Except from the new ship versus ship system there is also normal PVP and PVE with your character. You will be able to learn new skills and level up your character and make it stronger. You can build up your boat buy its cannons and many more interesting things. The bigger your boat is the more powerful and the more respect you get in-game. The ship VS ship system looks very interesting and you can customize your boat balance, speed and firepower. The graphic for the game is also beautiful and might be the best graphical MMO game so far.

Sega has just released 2 demos of the Japanese PlayStation Network for Ryu ga Gotoku Kenzan aka Yakuza. It is still unknown when this game will be out in the US but we hope it won’t take long. The gameplay is very much like the older Yakuza games, but this time you start in Kyoto during the Edo era. The first missions in the game are to walk around to different shop keepers in town and force them to pay their debts. You can go and talk to all citizens in the town to gain useful knowledge. After this you can visit the temple and do a few quests there, for this you will learn some new attacks.

The graphic is much better on this game then the previous one and the details are amazing. The game will be out in March in Japan and later this year in the US and rest of the world. One feature that sets the Yakuza series apart is the variety of often strange minigames strewn throughout the world. These small games can be forexample eating contests, bow practice, rock paper scissor etc. The feature is however cool and sometimes you have to complete minigames to win certain rewards etc so it really brings more things into the game.

Mount & Blade is a RPG of the open type. Here you are let loose in a big and dynamical middle age world, and you are your own master. You create your own history and set your own goals. If you want to be a lonely gladiator you can do that or if you want to be a shop keeper, messenger or a mighty army leader and take over other continents you can.

The gameplay of this amazing new coming RPG is so freely and the combat system on your horse or no foot looks simply amazing. This could be the best RPG ever created. You can also learn to manage all kinds of weapons and everything is very realistic. If you for example want to be a gladiator you need to learn hoe to manage many different weapons. Everything in this game is dynamical and there are so many things going on at the same time. While you are running around you may encounter huge battles between 2 continents or find a group of thief’s robbing a caravan etc. You can also recruit people to help you and hire soldiers. All the characters in the game ha their own goals and freedom, maybe the young farm boy you saw in the beginning of the game meets you again later but then as a knight or a tailor. Everyone goes their own directions almost like a MMO RPG with only AI controlled units. If you encounter some guys you wish to kill you can simply attack them and if you win and don’t kill them you can sell them as slaves or force them to fight for you. The opportunities here and endless and this might be the best RPG in the world so far. I will buy it for sure when it comes out.

Trauma Studios from the Battlefield 1942 mod Desert Combat is back with a brand new game. Frontlines: Fuel of War is a first person shooter (FPS) set to year 2024 and we are on the edge of a third world war. The reason for this war is because there is not much more gasoline sources left and I guess USA were never to happy about those Chinese electric cars. So here it is USA and EU VS the red union China and Russia.

You start out as an American soldier near the Russian border. The solders are tough and everyone likes to kill so in this game you must show no mercy. Each single player map is spited into sub missions. So you got you main mission and many different sub missions you can do on your way. The battles in the game a really intense and there are so many things going on at the same time I am almost surprised that there is no frame drops here. Frontlines: Fuel of War is not a very realistic game and it doesn’t matter so much if you get hits a few times. If you for example pick up a grenade launcher and shoot you will hit exactly where you aim so it is really arcade style here. There is also tons of different weapons to choose from and robots which you can control with a remote. The graphic is average but I think the game would be great when it firsts comes out.
