I went to Japan several times. I’ve been there often enough to know that the mobile phone in Japan is very cheap compare with other countries in the world. Since Nokia is the biggest mobile phone company in the world and also is the most popular one but not for Japan. Most of the Japanese people don’t use Nokia but they are all using the Japanese mobile phones which are produced in Japan.

What’s more, the mobile phone from Japan can’t use in other countries because they don’t use the sim cards like other phones in other countries. For example: if you buy mobile phone from Hong Kong, you can use it in Thailand, America or whatever countries you like by just changing the sim cards to the country you went to. But for Japan phone, you can’t do that only if you open the international service which will cost you a lot of money.

From what I know, most of the Mobile phone Companies give you the phone for free. They don’t make profit from the phone selling but they want to make profit from the connection service.
