The Mac OS X functions with the aid of the Mac OS X Server and it is an operating system which works on the basis of the Unix technology and is presently available in both server and desktop versions. Also several other services like Apache Tomcat, Xgrid, iChat Server, Open Directory can be updated by this server. The Mac OS X Server is also comprised by a set of technical tools which enable it to function in non-Mac equipments as well.
